New MP3's! A couple of MP3's from Catapult's show at the Sky Bar in Somerville (09.27.02) are now up in the audio/video section of the site. Two of the MP3's are new originals, "Guilty As Sin" and "The Formaldehyde Song (Down In Peru)", the third is a cover of the Jim Carroll classic, "People Who Died".

Winner of the 'Name This Band' contest is announced. In August MarkBates.com announced a contest to name this band. Catapult was the name that was decided on amongst the band. But, since the name was suggested by Mark Bates, an outside winner was picked. All the members of Catapult agreed that the winner was to be Steven Ray Lane. Steven offered such suggestions as, "Porn Flakes", "TC Cheever", and "Regina Filange". Congratulations Steven Ray Lane.

Catapulttheband.com launches. The web site is the official web presence of the Boston-based band Catapult. Catapulttheband.com will offer fans of the band a one-stop location to find out all the current information about the band Catapult. MP3's, message boards, news, tour dates, and more will be constantly updated to give fans of the band a reason to keep coming back.
